I could see the Astros trying to trade Valdez for a player that they specifically want but other then that I don’t think he’s really available, sure they’ll listen but other then just completely blowing them away I don’t think a fair trade gets it done. I think I’d do this for the Red Sox but pass as an Astro. But I’d try a little back door recon to see where he is on possibly working out an extension first though. I have a feeling the Astros may have checked in on that and found the reception 🆒 and that’s why it’s leaked out that teams have checked in on his availability. I imagine that it be a significant return even for only 2 years.
