3The Dodgers are looking for more starting pitching and might not be so eager to cross the next luxury tax threshold. Blackburn is better than Yarbrough and costs about $1 MM less. I'd really like to add Liranzo's bat to the A's system.
I agree with the fitness and P/r costs -- but LAD needs MIRPs that are LH -- if Kershaw is out, Urias suspended -- LAD would want to offer RHP @ .4 TV. Varland? I really like Blackburn, who might thrive with LAD.
I'd be fine with Varland. I included Yarbrough because of the possible Luxury Tax issue for LA.... I was also considering a deal around JP Sears. Any interest there?
