1Just playing around here. I don't honestly think the Angels would trade Trout or that the Rays would trade for him. However, if Trout's annual compensation was around $15MM, then he becomes a realistic option for the Rays. To get his pay down to that level, the Angels would have to kick in $150MM. That's what this trade shows, with the Rays trading the Angels a pretty good PR replacement in Arozarena and a really good, power hitting 1B/2B/3B in Paredes. Rays overpay a bit, but that's the price when trading for one of the best players in baseball (when healthy).
