I don’t believe the Mariners move pitching unless they need to cut payroll, then I think they’ll move someone who is under contract if need be. In my proposal I was trading France to the Diamondbacks because of Hazes’ recent comments about wanting to acquire another bat.
I’m kinda thinking the Mariners aren’t going to add anyone of significance this year. It’d be weird if that was so, but I think maybe their finances are worse than we all think. If they do add, a COF (or 2) and a 3B obviously make the most sense. This trade gets them 2 good COFs with lots of control.
