This is a high risk / high reward trade for the Rays. The prospects may not develop but I really like their potential. From the D-Backs’ perspective, they land a setup man / closer for next year’s run. I think Fairbanks is a little overrated, but he’s still damn good and only costs about $3.5MM per year. Hard to beat that kinda bang for the buck.
