This trade makes total sense because the Angels need starting pitchers, particularly right handers. After the horrible loss of Shohei this team is over powered by Lefties. Alek Manoah, who had arguably the biggest downfall of all players last year (let alone pitchers) is somebody who I see bouncing right back in the near future to Cy Young status under the Angels new promising Pitching Coaches. Jose Suarez (a lefty) has not been great when healthy, but many see him having a possible break out in the near future. Rengifo who finished the second half VERY strongly is somebody the Angels have discussed in trades, he is a utility who can 3b, Ss, 2b, and both corner outfield spots as displayed last season. With the possible loss of Matt Chapman this can make total sense for the Blue Jays to go after this utility type player. Cavan Biggo a second baseman for the Jays is a nothing to special, but can be great for the Angels as a back end bench player that could pinch run, fill in for an injured player, or fill in in late innings when defense is needed. Adding a little cushion for the Angels Bullpen is important, but I am not sure it is needed for the blue jays to package one to secure this deal.
