Brewers can't afford to trade pitching for position players. They wouldn't give up their comp. balance pick for a low sum of cash.

I think Polanco for Gasser would work for the Brewers. Polanco fills a hole at 2B and improves the lineup. Gasser is still unproven in the major league. Brewers could fill his spot with a free agent mid-rotation pitcher. Leave the comp pick and cash out of the trade.
