5The logic: Red Sox need some rotation help and Andrew Bailey (Sox new pitching coach) worked with Anderson in San Francisco. The $10mil going to Boston makes this a cash neutral deal.
I don't hate it, and would prefer to see Anderson somewhere else. Kinda win-win in a sense.

I think it’s a win-win for the Angels, but I’m curious to hear a Sox fan’s perspective. Anderson still has value as a back-end starter and at $8m per year, he might be a better value proposition than someone like Paxton.
I’ll take Paxton
