4Braves get a proven TOR starter with 4 years control, replacements at 1st base. Gain financial flexibility to keep Fried long term. Mariners get starter to replace Gilbert and offensive upgrades. Nats get the power lefty they want, plus mlb ready starter and starting prospect

It's a big trade. It's a cool idea. It's not for me. I do appreciate the thought that's gone into it. For me, coming at it from the perspective of a Braves fan, I'm just not into trading Matt Olson for Logan Gilbert (61.9 and 65.9 respectively). I'd rather that fixed amount contract for a position player and a guy with an established track record of success, Also, he just had a bEASTmode season. To put up France as a replacement is misled. Tyler Locklear isn't so attractive for the Braves, IMO. I think they'd rather have a player who can help now. Austin Riley's at 3B, has been great and he's signed longterm. AJ Shawver-Smith's a starting pitcher to dream on. If the Braves are trading him away it won't be like this. They're shoring up to be sustainable. The enticement for the Braves here isn't real. This trade proposal takes some stabs at stuff that might work but it misses the mark for me.
No worries. Thanks for the feedback. I believe France will have a bounce back year and without the added pressure he has at the Mariners would be good for him. Locklear would slide over to 1st for the Braves and be up next year. I was looking at the financial savings these 2 would give the Braves for a few years to help other areas. I had Gilbert as an idea instead of Cease. Figured 2 more years of control. I really wanted the Mariners to get Olson before he went to the Braves
