The Padres solve their CF void with the acquisition of Chill Will Brennan... The DBax will not send Kristian Robinson to the Guardians. The DBax will receive Sean Reynolds for the rights to the Guardians' Rule V draftee, Deivyson De Los Santos..

I’m confused (which isn’t abnormal). So Cleveland doesn’t get Robinson, but now has the option to send De Los Santos to AAA (or wherever) and doesn’t have to return him? I actually like Robinson more than DLS. I’m not sure of the logic in drafting DLS. He’s clearly not ready, and will very likely not be a productive MLB player. Just seemed odd to get him. I would rather get Robinson and send DLS back, but either way I’m mildly ok with the trade on the Cleveland side.

You're not as confused as you think.. If the Guardians cannot send DDLS to AAA, they get & keep Robinson.. If the Guardians can send DDLS to AAA, then Robinson is no longer a part of the deal.. BTV doesn't allow for an "if...then" contingency deal.. This was the best I could do..

Ok. Thanks for explaining. DLS is somewhat intriguing. I’ve read about his mid-season swing adjustment, so maybe there is something there, but I’m not convinced a zebra can change his stripes.

The only response to the zebra comment would be presented in the form of a question.. why should he change? His overall MiLB K-Rate approaches 30 % (slightly under) and limited walk totals say this guy sells out to get to his considerable power as exhibited by exit velos, swing mechanics and speed. In short, when he connects, NASA needs to be on alert.. It's the lack of consistency that is the issue.. Given time.. he might "slow his roll" on his aggressiveness and actually become a good hitter.. It's in there.. it's a question of do the Guardians want to spend the time & effort to help him get to it...
