I feel like Cleveland would also give up a PTBNL in this deal... I feel like Hancock is undervalued on here and Smith I feel like is a bit underrated as well, at least from his MLB.com evaluation, but fits the type of player Cleveland likes!

I think Freeman will become the next Jones, or Benson, in the sense they didn’t see him enough to fully evaluate, and he will blossom elsewhere. I would rather trade Arias because I don’t see the appeal there. Freeman will be good, but for some reason doesn’t get the ABs. So, to trade him makes sense. This is a good enough return to say yes to this deal.

I feel like this would be a good deal for both teams since it's pretty much, Freeman for Hancock then I would put a PTBNL back to Seattle for Smith. Plus the possibility of Bieber getting moved and TMac coming back from injury having Hancock there as a 5th/6th starter in 24, while Freeman becomes the Mariners everyday 2B, it makes a ton of sense to me personally...

I'd like to know how you see potential if Freeman and none in Arias? You realize how inaccurate your statement is? Do you realize the talent difference? Now, I'll agree that Freeman is more likely to reach his floor which is a good contact hitter and decent defensive player, but he'll never touch Arias' power or defense. Won't even be in the realm of it. The entire issue with Arias last season was that he struggled severely against LHP and he had never struggled like that before. I think it was an anomaly. Against RHP he slashed 275/332/459/791 with 8 HR and 14 2B in 207 AB. That's while being jacked around until Rosario was shipped out of town. Over a 600 AB season that's 24 HR and 40 2B and he was 23 the entire season coming off a broken hamate bone the season before. He was yrs younger than the average player at every minor league stop and when have you ever seen a kid go from high A ball to AAA and hit like he did? He didn't play a single inning of AA ball. Nobody, including Naylor or JRam have Arias' power. They have to pull the ball to get the kind of exit velocities that Arias has going to the opposite field. His power is rare and ridiculous and you have to give him every opportunity to succeed or you're doing your organization a disservice. Oh yeah, Freeman slashed 266/314/342/656 against RHP last season and pretty much the same against LHP. Neither one had a large sample size to go by.
