This is a rumors what if scenario. Brewers have been linked to 1st baseman all off season. Royals are looking for a closer. The Giants are still unsure at shortstop. This gets rid of players on Brewers that are high priced, perhaps clearing room for Burns resigning. Royals load up on pitching prospects while getting their closer, and a player who plays first and third, which fits with their depth. Prato is a lefty. I’m guessing Giants would pursue Belli after this deal

No way brewers would ever do this deal. Hoskins is a stop gap at first and they have potentially prospects in the minors who might only be a year or two away.
