Looks like a bit of an overpay by the M’s (especially if Gehring1 is correct about $’s going to MN). Probably still a good trade for M’s considering that landed a middle order bat, kept their best young pitchers and moved DeSclafini. Twins move veteran INF slugger in last year of contract and land #10, 12 & 22 prospects (even though Topa is a 33 yr old prospect). Looks like a good trade for all.

Overpay purely in terms of value, but this is a great trade for the Mariners. Filling a massive hole in the lineup without creating another hole.

As a Guardians' fan I'm glad to see Polanco out of the division. Good trade for Seattle, but I'm not certain the return was good for the Twins. I wouldn't be happy if I were a Twins' fan.
