Twins have a glaring hole at 1B. Why not fill it with the 2023 AL All Star 1B with 3 years of cheap control? The cost is high of course. For the Rays, they can move Paredes to 1B and open up 3B to top prospects Mead and Caminero. Getting another good pitching prospect and uber outfield prospect would be enticing for the Rays.

Fair enough. It wasn’t a trade I felt confident the Rays would like either. They typically like someone with actual MLB experience (and at least 5 years of control) in their big trades. An 18 year old headliner ain’t their style.
