Orioles get a pitcher. Guardians get the Outfielder they want and a pitcher to replace Beiber. Nationals get an infield prospect to pair with their numerous OF prospects

BigBat

Lane Thomas is not "the outfielder they want" and they sure as hell don't want or need Irvin. Did you give this trade any thought outside of Baltimore's needs? Hell, you sent the OFer Cleveland would want to the Nationals in this deal.

Os1995

I figure Cleveland would prioritize proven MLB production over a prospect. Lane Thomas had an OPS of 0.783 last year which is much higher than what Norby would be projected at when you consider the average AAA player has an 18% lower OPS in the majors. If Cleveland wants more years of control than offensive production that works for me. I would think a team with an opening at 2B would want Norby because his defense is worth more at 2B than a Corner OF position.

Xfactor

Wow. It really cracks me up when fans get worked up. Frankly I think Thomas is the biggest chip in this deal. Though I agree Cleveland has absolutely no use for Irvin it’s not THAT awful a proposal. Definitely skews in Baltimores favor though

Cleveland could use a left handed reliever. Irvin can also eat innings as a starter or middle reliever if needed in case of injury or if a young pitcher needs more time in the minors. Irvin should see a nice bump in his ERA by pitching half of games in Cleveland as well since its on of the most pitcher friendly parks in baseball.
