2Punxsutawney Phil Predicts an early spring! Dombrowski signs Chapman to play 3B, trades Bohm to Brewers for Williams……After the trade the Brewers announce that they have agreed to an extension with SS Willy Adames for 4 additional years after the ‘24 season for $15m, $16m, $17m and $18m with a club option for an additional year at $18m or a $4m buy out making it a 4yr extension guaranteed $70m or a 5yr deal worth $84m.
Nice write up. Enjoyed the groundhog reference. This trade only makes sense if the Brewers think Bohm can stay at 3B in 2024. If Hoskins has a good year, he'll probably go free agent in 2025 and then Bohm could move to first if his defense is poor at 3B. It's a good trade meeting the needs of both teams if Bohm can improve his defense.
