The "value" to which team? Surplus value is off, but that means nothing if one team can't use the trade candidate. You could put 30 lottery tickets with a total SV of 26 and their "value" is more than Williams'. For the Brewers Williams has far more value than Jones.
Well 6 years vs. 2 years of control for one. Also as great as Williams (top 3 reliever in baseball) is an everyday outfielder-centerfielder to boot- (potentially I know) vs. the position that offers the most variance in baseball. Anyway you don’t want an outfielder and I think my team is giving up to much.
