Braves get better, and only slightly more expensive next year. Padres get an affordable and great CF.

I'm not sure I understand what you're saying. I'm willing to agree that Tatis Jr. will be better at baseball in 2024 than Michael Harris II. Do you have an idea in numerical terms what "slightly more expensive next year" is? How about just comparing the $ between the two outfielders in 2025?

Very understandable. If it weren't for the TV deal implosion I wouldn't have really considered this since it's the right time for the Padres to make a push while Tatis and Machado are still relatively cheap. Paying 110M a year in 5 years for past their prime Machado, Bogaerts, Tatis and Cronenworth is going to be painful.
