Hopefully we actually get some rationale in the comments. Why are people on here so against the Padres receiving Jarren Duran when clearly they’re interested in him? It’s been getting constant downvotes. We need more rationale.

SD ❤️

It's possible that some Padres fans only follow the National League and don't look at the news may not be familiar with Duran. They might dislike the idea of trading two of their top five prospects for a player they don't know. I know who Duran is and I think he's a great player.

SD ❤️

Or maybe it's Red Sox fans who dislike the idea of trading Duran for two prospects they never heard of. As I saw in the comments a YouTube video, some people wanted Tatis who has a way higher value and those people probably don't know about the values and stuff.

Red Sox 0224

I think that this is a very fair trade for all parties, all teams substracting talent from areas of strength, in case of SD they acquire Duran a young OF with 5 yrs of control entering his prime years, the Marlins get a top pitching prospect to add to their minor league pitching factory + 3 prospects with good offensive upside, and the redsox get their most needed ace.
