3The biggest problem of the Cards is not pitching, it's no Molina. Maybe Willson Contreras will help. & maybe MIL can do their magic on his brother plus getting some pretty good young players to boot. MIL should really like this trade in that they could add someone to sweeten the pot.
The Brewers don't have the $$77+M to pay Wilson Contreras. They need what money they have to go after pitching and work on extensions for their own players. Walker failed as a 3B in early 2022 so they moved him to OF. The last thing Milwaukee wants is more OFs. Brewers would much rather keep Wilson Contreras.
