2The Giants with Chapman, Adames, and Thairo would possibly have the best infield defense in the league (40 OAA combined in '23), and pairing Miley with Webb, Hicks, and Cobb would create a pitching staff that induces the most ground balls in MLB. The Brewers receive JD, who can replace Adames' production on offense and man 3B while Ortiz takes over SS, plus Whisenhunt (MLB rank #83 prospect). Whis will be MLB-ready this year and a rotation that features Peralta, Woodruff, Whisenhunt, and Hall in 2025 would be very scary. SF needs a little cash from MIL to take on the Miley and Adames contracts without exceeding the luxury tax.
Thank you for the trade proposal and comments. I think Adames for Davis and Whisenhunt is a good start for the trade. I don't see Milwaukee trading Miley after just signing him as a free agent. Perhaps a prospect rated in the 30 would have some interest for the Giants.
