I don't see any motivation for the Guardians to do this.

Brewers too would have zero interest in this. They traded for Ortiz plus they still have Adames at SS.

@mlbfeeelit... Interesting deal from several perspectives.. It's clear an infielder w/ exceptional baseball IQ, defensive prowess and a history with the bat w/ primary emphasis on being a SS or 2B is the need for the Brewers.. They'd be getting a good one by acquiring young Brayan Rocchio.. The return: Tyler Black would appear to be another middle infielder.. and, a left handed hitting middle infielder, at that.. but...Tyler Black has begun to transition & transition nicely to the grass and is improving both his OBP (which is already elite) and his power. This is a good young prospect that would be more than welcome by Cleveland.. The inclusion of Trevor MeGill is the issue from the Guardians' perspective. A useful RP does little to move the needle on this deal... For this reason, the Guardians would negotiate an exchange that both clubs could possibly live with.. Starting with the assumption that the Brewers are THRILLED with the way young Jackson Chourio has developed.. His younger brother, Jaison Chourio, could be considered for this deal. He's very much like his older brother in many ways.. and a little taller.. Jaison's BTV value has risen to 14.0 would elevate the total going to the Brewers to 34. Keeping Tyler Black in the deal and adding what the Guardians need, a partner to cover the long term catching needs in right handed hitting Jeferson Quero (24.2). This would elevate the return going to the Guardians to 38.8.. With 34.0 going to the Brewers.. the difference could be made up with a cash payment of 4 MM.. Deal or no deal?.

Brewers pass very quickly. They like Black's bat and have big plans for him. I believe he is under valued here and I think Milwaukee likes Black better than Rocchio to start with. Rocchio does nothing for Milwaukee. Since Adames is still there, and they traded for Ortiz, they don't need him. . GSon: Brewers would dislike your extended deal even more. Zero chance they would trade Quero for a teenager, much less a teenage outfielder. Milwaukee is loaded with young, talented outfielders and it wouldn't make sense to just give Quero away for another outfielder.

the brewers may have young talented OF'ers... none of them are the younger and talented brother of their just recently extended # 1 prospect..

Cleveland wouldn't downgrade from Rocchio to Black in order to bring in a questionable 30 yr old pitcher. Rocchio would be an instant upgrade over Black, Ortiz and Turang, but Milwaukee already has them in their system so......
