7The idea would be Mayo converting to LF. If he is incapable of doing that then this deal probably doesn't work unless Cleveland intends to trade Josh Naylor. The research I've done suggests that Mayo is a good enough athlete to easily make the transition. Much in the manor of Josh Naylor before he broke his leg.
I am pretty positive, Cleveland isn't going to even think about this. They aren't even thinking about trading TMac right now...

Why wouldn't they? He's a FA after the 26 season, they have some depth and they have the talent to deal for another SP. It's time to deal him otherwise the value starts to plummet. You want another Bieber scenario? I know I don't because it has hurt this team going forward. Besides, is there a better RH power bat prospect that is ready out there? They make this deal instantly and then look to replace McKenzie by dealing Kwan.
I 100% believe, if he has a healthy 24, he will sign an extension with the team...
You'e on crack. Why would you extend McKenzie with the SP depth they have? They'll extend Bieber before they extend McKenzie and I don't expect that to happen either. There have been recent, hard lessons learned that go by the name of Kluber and Bieber. Don't do the same dumb shit a third time. Sometimes you have to know when to cash your chips in.
There was an extension on the table for TMac before he missed last season...
