This would never happen because at this point in his career, Garcia has no more value. Trading away a prospect for him would serve no purpose unless someone else, i.e. a prospect, or a younger player, was involved in the trade.

contract is a difference of 6.5 mm, but Mets are taxed at 110 percent so Cohen is offloading 13mm in negative cash flow for a prospect
