The Yankees are not trading Jones.
I'd do this if Kwan were to be dealt for a SP. If not then the rotation becomes awfully thin in Cleveland and it handcuffs a potential Bieber deal. I might try to create a 3 way deal based around this idea.
I think we have more depth after last years 3 rookies and Bieber than most people think. Cantillo, Curry, Gaddis and Warren could all be the fifth starter. All are team controlled too, so I think we are in good standing with starting pitching.
You're probably right, but I'd like to clear the path for DeLauter and Jones while building more SP depth in preparation of a Bieber deal. The idea of those 2 playing together in Cleveland's OF is so intriguing that any Cleveland fan has to be in favor of this.

We would for 3 years of a McKenzie. Cease was only two years I would be concerned about McKenzies arm though. Either way we can’t waste Soto’s potential only year in pinstripes.
You cant get a team controlled top of the rotation guy for a bunch of mid-level prospects. Even if you are the Yankees.
