4Why would the Rays trade a productive player like Ramirez for Trammell?
Cause about the 1st month in they'll both be in the way truthfully but with J Lowe possibly out he gives a LH option for RF and can spell Arozarena or Siri against a tough RH pitcher and offers speed off the bench til Deluca comes back, plus he's a former elite prospect, maybe its not too late to find a version of that guy again. Right now of the 13 positional players we have 3 guys that really should never see the field in Ramirez, Mead, and Aranda, I think if TB had gotten any legitimate offers on Ramirez he would have been moved to save that $4M but at this moment the roster has a bad construct, not enough LH hitting and too many defensive liabilities, also thin in the OF, but we'll probably loose Harold for nothing so I'd rather take a gamble on a guy I remember watching that was a dynamic game changer.
Isn’t that what Palacios is for?
Yea but he's having too good of spring though, he'll make the other hitters look bad lol
