Yankees get some needed depth pieces (4/5 starters and backup SS). Brewers get two immediate options for their rotation plus a good, young 20 yr old SS in Young who can develop alongside Turing and Ortiz in the middle infield. Plus in light of the Devin Williams injury a needed BP piece in Marinaccio . Mariners give up a lot and will need to pay for a cheap SP on the FA front (I know they are strapped a bit financially) and they add Adames and Peralta’s arb salaries. That said a healthy, controllable big 4 rotation of Castillo, Peralta, Kirby, Gilbert is damn impressive. Also Pereira (only 22 yrs old) can join the outfield mix. Plus Adames for the year can move over to third (or 2nd and Polanco to 3rd) to fortify the infield. Crawford stays at SS.

I think this would be much more palatable to Milwaukee if the Mariners kept Young and the Brewers kept Adames and got Lalane as a throwin. The Brewers have plenty of young infield talent with Turang, Ortiz, Monasterio, (possibly Frelick), and Black, Wilken, Pratt, Brown, Bitonti coming up. I think the Brewers would make the modified deal even if the Mariners kept Lalane.

wspahn: I like your deal and agree Milwaukee doesn't need Young. I don't think the Brewers could turn down Miller, Woo, Marinaccio for Peralta deal.
