5I like Kopp as the centerpiece of this return to the Rays. Rays love tall pitchers. That said, I'd prefer someone other than Newell as the secondary piece. BTV lists Jang's value at 1.5 and he would be a slamdunk choice if the Dodgers would give him up, which they probably wouldn't. Zyhir Hope is another prospect I'd be interested in who is far off and should have a low trade value as a result. Hope isn't in BTV's system though. Like you, I'd be surprised if the Rays didn't trade 1 or more players by OD. Do the Dodgers need a lefty reliever?
Actually that's why I picked Kopp was cause of the height, I couldn't find Jang or Hope listed on here cause I'd love to get Hope or Santana from Texas, kinda similar really young, toolsy OF'ers, they have Yarborough, Vessia, and Gage as LH options in the bullpen so to me Poche would be an upgrade, to me that seems like a big weak spot on their staff.
Oh also I thought about Ramos over Newell but I thought Ramos was too similiar to Misner who'll already be at AAA
Big year for Misner. Is he more than a AAAA player at the plate? He's a stud in the field already.
I really hope he can find a way to make better contact, he could easily be a 20/20 guy in a part time role if he could get his strikeout rate down in the 20's percent range.
