4Yanks get the needed vet pitcher and the UTL IF they need. Cleveland gets a lot of controllable assets. Hampton fits in their rotation later half of the year. Pereira we’ve all talked about (strikeouts, 22 yr old struggles, doesn’t fit Cleveland’s usual bat to ball contact profile etc), but fact of the matter is that the guy is talented. And only 22. If we didn’t have Jones and Dominguez and later Mayea we wouldn’t trade him.
I appreciate that you understand that Cleveland is not trading Bieber at the value listed here on BTV. Tyler Freeman looks to be the center field replacement for Myles Straw. I just don't see Cleveland wanting Pereira. I realize that he is only 22, but his prospect luster is falling in all prospect rankings that I have looked at. I think if Pereira was a target, some type of trade would have already been done.
IF Cleveland liked Pereira, I don't doubt a deal like this would have already happened...
Just can't get past the realization that Cleveland is not interested in Pereira can you? Must be tough and you have my condolences. You want Bieber and Freeman then send Jones. If that's too much then at least we have an understanding. I'm not a huge fan of Freeman moving to the OF, but his value is much more than listed here and that will reveal itself the more he plays. He's a helluva hitter and can play multiple positions without hurting you defensively.
