10Why in God's earth would you think that Cleveland would trade their best offensive players from a team that needs offense, for more pitching and middle infielders? Cleveland yells no, hangs up, blocks the number, reports the call as spam, and gets the other teams to also block the number. Thankfully, Jose Ramirez has a no trade clause which he will not waive. Obviously, a Mariner fan who did not bother to look at the needs of the Guardians and Marlins.
Cleveland needs to add to Naylor and JRam not switch them for more pitching...
So basically this is just moving a bunch of players around with no thought, logic or basis in reality. Just essentially making sure numbers sorta line up. Got it.
no reason for marlins be in trade. to help Mariner get top two from Guardian. then add three from the marlins . then you think marlins want Dylan Moore 31 lol . and give up A.J. Puk with out getting sp. plus then hr power marlins losing lol, i am with what Guardian are saying in this trade
Sad thing is more Guardians fans like this trade than Mariners and Marlins fans combined....
I wouldn't say they are a Mariners fan as they are giving up way too much
Can you honestly say that Twadds with a straight face? Are the Mariners losing their top two offensive players including their superstar? Is the Mariners opening day starter in the trade? Is the Mariner bullpen being trashed? Seriously, give me a break. Awful trade that thankfully would never happen.
It's a shit trade for both Mariners and Guardians. I don't believe either would do it. You also look at the value the Mariners on this site and it says over pay. Top 5 prospect, starting shortstop, 2 of their 5 starting pitches plus their starting catcher. No replacements for catcher or shortstop. I just pointed out that I don't think it was a Mariners fan that suggested this trade
It certainly wasn't a Guardian fan. This trade would have filled Seattle weaknesses at 3B, 2B, and their bullpen while trading from their pitching strength while Cleveland would lose their top two offensive players, an area of need, while adding to their overload of middle infielders and give Cleveland 6 MLB starters. It would also destroy Cleveland's bullpen. Regardless, Ramirez has a no trade clause that he is not waiving.
Mariners do have a strength of pitching but I wouldn't say a lot of depth as they have traded it already. They traded for Polanco to fill 2nd base and sign Stanek to cover their BP. Mariners also have a habit of uncovering diamonds in the rough with BP arms. As long as we both agree this trade doesn't work for Mariners or Guardians then lets move on
