Cleveland isn't trading Bibee... They won't have Bibee available until 1-2 years left on his contract IF he's not extended and he is an extension candidate after this season...

Texas is not trading Carter and Cleveland is not trading Bibee.

Oh wow! A rookie OFer that hit really good in his 65 AB debut is worth that much more than a rookie SP that finished 2nd in AL ROY voting and was one of the better SP in the entire league? Sometimes things just don't make sense. Carter is not a valuable as Bibee at this point and I don't give a shit what FG or anyone else says. Texas would jump all over this in a millisecond. Cleveland not so much. SP like Bibee are harder to come by and more costly than an OF like Carter. That isn't to downplay Carter either who is a fantastic player.

I don't see Texas wanting Bibee. He is a fly ball pitcher that benefits from pitching in a pitchers park and had some very lucky HR rates that are likely to regress. Bibee had a HR/FB rate of 8% (league average is 13-14%) which looks unrealistically low even with playing in a pitchers park because his exit velocities are average. Bibee also pitches much better at home in that pitchers park than away (2.11 H vs 3.79 A). If Bibee were to go to Texas he would be closer to a 4.0 ERA pitcher than a 3.0 ERA pitcher.

What a crock! He has above average control, spin and velocity. He doesn't give up much hard contact and he's 2 yrs away from his prime. Texas would make this deal yesterday, but it won't happen because teams don't give up the most valuable commodity in MLB unless they're overflowing with it. You sure as hell aren't getting a top 100 prospect along with him. Chourio's value had a significant increase and it still isn't close to what it will be. Think Jackson with a little less power, but better hit tool and a lot better defense.
