It makes sense for all three teams on paper... The value of Rortvedt may be lower on here than the Rays thought...
Early results suggest the Rays are the big winners in this trade.

I don't understand Rays fans' complaints about this trade. The alternative was to use Kevin Cash as the backup catcher.

I’d have to agree. I think it’s a great move by the Yankees. Amazing that these 3 teams would get together on a trade the day before they start the season, and two of them from the A.L. East.
