22Ramirez has a no trade clause, and he is not going to waive it after taking millions less to stay in Cleveland and get the no trade. Cleveland does not need two more middle infield prospects or a catching prospect that won't likely stick at catcher. This is an easy no for the Guardians. It makes no sense for the Guardians to trade him anyway.
What I stated was that Jose Ramirez will not waive his no trade clause. With the no trade clause in effect, no trade can happen. It is that simple.
But he might. Rings are enticing. And Cleveland has no chance any time soon
Go ahead and live in your big market, arrogant dreamland. I choose to live in reality. The reality is that Ramirez is a Guardian and will be for a long time. That Yankee pitching staff won't win the AL East.
I'm just here to have fun, man. Dunno why you feel the need to be a dick about it
There is a group on here that has a tendency to tell the Cleveland fans they should take their deals and tell us what we should like and dislike, so don't exactly mind TA... Also Jose Ramirez is signed long term and he even publicly stated he doesn't want to play in a big market, so he wouldn't trade his no waive clause for the Yankees...
Cleveland has a better chance at making the playoffs the next 5 yrs than the Yankees. You'll be lucky to finish 3rd in that division.
Lmao we opened the season with a 4 game sweep of the Astros. Cope and seethe
Keeping watching big guy and see what happens. The Yankees will finish 3rd in their division unless they can land someone like Bieber and that's gonna cost big time. Discussing Ramirez in a trade is stupid. If rings were so enticing and Cleveland was so far away he would have hit FA and signed a huge deal with a so called contender. You think he's going to waive his clause to play for the Yankees at such an inexpensive rate? In order to sign him to such a friendly deal Cleveland had to give him a full no trade clause.
You tell me that my team has no chance, and I am the one being a ____. I won't stoop to your middle school level. Have a good day.
He says after also talking shit. How can you hate fun and also be a hypocrite? Pick a struggle
Cry, Focus, Cry. Nothing fun about unrealistic trades that do not consider both teams. I find them useless and boring. I am sorry that you have no clue about Ramirez, no trade clauses, and the Guardians. Have a good night.
It made you so mad that you had to comment and argue rather than just ignore, and I'm the one crying? Add being bad at arguing to your list of inadequacies
What he wasn't happy about was the fact that you were stating some of the stuff a previous Yankees fan did, which was Guardians have no chance, so JRam should gladly come to New York and Guardians should take any deal we give them since the Guardians are the Yankees farm team, blah blah blah... First off JRam signed a no trade with the Guardians and the Guardians once again are a super young team with a top 5 rotation when everyone is healthy. Yankees don't have the rotation the Guardians have. Secondly, Jose Ramirez publicly stated, he will not play for a large market team, aka he means he will not play for New York. He actually did say that... Now, with this being for fun, it wouldn't work because Cleveland isn't getting the guys they would want, that's for sure
Okay, let's look at this objectively, it's a 100% no in reality because of JRams real life situation, but let's look at the IF of JRam being available... Jones and Arias, Cleveland would take... But Peraza, Pereira and Rice are a no from Clevelands stand point... Jones, Arias and Hampton are a must... then Cleveland would want one or two more prospects... I am think Vivas and Selvidge... If you give up those 5, Cleveland would trade JRam IF available...
Coach, I still don't think that Cleveland would trade Ramirez for your package. I don't see the Guardians wanting to go backwards. It makes no sense to me for the Guardians to trade Ramirez. Regardless, the no trade clause should end this discussion. You are correct that there is 100% no. Now if Focus could learn that fact and move on to realistic goals for his team.
I agree, but we still have to make sure we don't get too nit picky with a site like this since there is a fun element to it as well. It is a sure bet of no, JRam isn't available period, but as long as Focus gets that, but still wants to say a what IF for fun, then I don't mind playing along
Unrealistic proposals are not fun to me but to each his own. I just wish people would make an attempt to meet the needs of both team like a real GM would have to do. The amount of one-sided proposals on here wears thin. Perhaps, I view this site differently than many do. I just hate the rudeness and name calling that some stoop to. That wears old as well.
It would have to be more of a deadline move, sure. But maybe if Cleveland sucks by then, could happen. Either SS could shift to third or second, Rice can catch and play first, Jones and Pereira each could play any OF position. Never say never
What is there about a no trade clause that you do not understand? Ramirez took millions less on his last extension to stay in Cleveland and get that no trade clause. He is not available. Cleveland has plenty of middle infield depth already. They don't need two more. Cleveland values defense at catcher and has a young starter in Bo Naylor. Cleveland has another top prospect, Kyle Manzardo for 1B. Rice is not needed. Pereira is a strike out machine that I doubt Cleveland would have any interest in. I will say never.
People can change their mind. No trades can be waived. And I understand Manzardo is good, but I listed literally every position between those prospects and no GM ever has said, "No, we have too much young talent." I get it's a longshot, but it's possible, and it's fun to think about
The deal is shit from Cleveland's perspective without mentioning the no trade clause the Ramirez will not waive. He's not interested in playing in or for NY. He's comfortable where he's at and more importantly his wife and children are which is why he accepted a team friendly deal. He's not going anywhere and Cleveland is going to be really good inside of 2 yrs. No, it's not possible.
