3It’s too soon for either team to consider pitcher trades like this. The Rays have 4 starters coming off IL in the next few months, beginning with T.Bradley at the end of April. They won’t be interested in adding a pitcher of significance just to get through 4-5 starts.
Oh I completely agree, this is a deadline deal. Did the math and that’s around how much money Sevy has left by July 31st which was why I added that much cash. This Mets team currently has me looking way ahead
Not even a week into the season, but I feel your pain as a Mets fan (my 2nd favorite team). I don’t think the Rays will be buyers this year, at least for pitching. Obviously, anything can happen in baseball, but the Rays rotation will be 8-9 strong at the deadline, assuming no season ending injuries (Eflin, Civale, Littell, Bradley, Pepiot, Baz, Springs, and Rasmussen (plus 1 or more stretched out relievers or rookies ready for their call ups)).
