5Down vote for Oakland. Arias is another guy that has struggled to stay healthy/live up to expectations. He's a definite change o' scenery candidate but if you aren't going to slot him immediately into a big league line-up he's just going to rot. 3B and 2B are spoken for in Oakland and the SS they took #6 overall last summer is already in AA... Oakland isn't the place for Arias to get his shot.
Don't forget Arias actually is defensively legit at 1B and RF...
The bat plays better in the dirt and Ryan Noda was a 2 fWAR player at 1B last season, so Arias would be on the short side of a platoon at best.
Actually Arias can't hit lefties... Look at his splits... He is well above league average vs righties and A ball level vs lefties...
If Cleveland trades Arias to give SS to Rocchio then they're much dumber than I thought. Arias is a low floor/high ceiling young player. If they aren't going to give him a long leash then they might as well deal him, but they'll look stupid for doing it in a year or two. Then all the geniuses that were pining for the average at best Rocchio will be crying the blues. If they're not going to give Arias an extended look then get Brito to Cleveland already FFS.
