Inter-division trades are very rare. I get it. But sometimes they do happen. Cleveland gets a controllable 2-way (offense-especially needed power and defensive stud). Cleveland is shoving this year and going for the division. Yankees get Crochett who can contribute immediately and has experience both in the rotation and in the bullpen. He is also off to an incredible start (21 strikeouts and 1 walk). White Sox rebuild as needed. Get some fringe top 150 pitching and Delautier can replace Robert in OF. Yanks can give a little more if needed.
Luis Robert Jr. is out hurt for at least 6-8 weeks due to a grade 2 hip flexor strain. There is concern in the White Sox organization that he could be out longer as much as 3-4 months. I could see DeLauter in the majors before we see Robert play again. Cleveland would never do this deal. Also, if you haven't noticed, Bryan Rocchio has been Cleveland's starting shortstop this season.
