1I think the Marlins probably say no, but their season is off to a horrendous start, with no real shiny outlook on the horizon. From the Braves standpoint, giving up Waldrep is the potential to come back and bite. Alcantara could come back awesome, but the Braves just jettisoned some "projects" in the offseason due to unknowns. Personally, I'd love to slide Luzardo into this year's rotation (can't replace Strider, but still brings value), and then next year hopefully have Strider, Sale, Alcantara, Luzardo, R. Lopez, plus plenty of options in GWN still, even with Waldrep being traded away. Since I'd be so willing to give up J.R., Elder, and Ynoa, that should tell you that the Marlins wouldn't be excited for this option, but maybe they want quantity over quality.
