I agree with Sports Coach. It makes no sense to trade their comp pick after gaining the overall #1 pick.
Sure it makes sense to trade their comp pick. The problem here is that no team is going to trade a pick like that for Blackburn.
I love the idea but Cleveland has an opportunity to set up their organization for the next 3-8 years with the upcoming Draft and the Comp pick (with its $2,569,200 assigned value) is a crucial part of that opportunity. It would be extremely short-sighted for the Guardians to part with that pick for anything less than an affordable, star-level talent.... I give this a down vote for Cleveland.
I totally agree with you, Grover. I agree that Oakland would love the idea and that it makes no sense for the Guardians.
