2Malloy is interesting but the Tigers now have him playing only the OF because his defense is awful. He also whiffed 152 times at AAA last year. Hurter is a decent throw-in prospect. The way Adames has been playing, I wonder if Milwaukee is looking to extend him rather than trade him. A very intriguing proposal.
Malloy is a real enigma. The Tigers say they like his plate discipline because he walked 110 times in AAA. Yet he struck out 152 times, so obviously he has some holes in his swing. How that will translate at the big league level I don't know. He does hit some HRs, but has low exit velo. Every thing I saw said Detroit has given up on him at third and was looking at him as a LF/DH only. I don't think the Brewers would have all that much interest in trading Adames for an OF/DH. Maybe a deadline type deal if Milwaukee goes bad and is out of it.
