BrewCrew I don't understand the reasoning behind this proposal for Milwaukee. Lin is 20 and just starting AA. He's at least a couple of years away. Milwaukee is covered very well at 2B/SS (Alexander is very weak as a 3B) so I don't see a need for Alexander either. I don't think the Brewers are giving up on this year, so they would be looking for more immediate help. There are several teams needing a closer and I think Milwaukee could get immediate SP help from them if they decide to trade Williams.

neither team would do this given the state of shortstop depth for AZ and it would take more to pry Williams away from a team that REALLY needs him. Makes no sense. DBacks are super, and I mean SUPER, thin at shorstop. Alexander really the only one right now. Perdomo is hurt, they team doesn't seem to trust Lawlar at all yet. They had JACE PETERSON playing shortstop last night, and he failed to make multiple plays, generously being awarded only one error. For the Brewers, they would need significant improvment to the rotation in this deal to offset losing Williams, and Uribe hasn't proved to be a viable closer yet
