The Dodgers need more arms... which is why there's a good chance they won't part with River Ryan. But if you don't ask they can't surprise you with a positive resonse!

Missed this with all the search issues. One question: How does trading Mason Miller improve the A's?

I think River Ryan is going to be a good SP and Liranzo is going to be a monster.

Sure and I agree for the most part but Ryan looks a bit expensive while Liranzo seems to be a bargain if he can stay behind the plate but that would just take away from his offense. If he plays 1B then what would the A's do with Soderstrom? Who would they take in the draft instead of Kurtz(likely pick)? Braden Montgomery(no thanks)? Konnor Griffin(please and thank you)? Liranzo and/or River Ryan can be acquired(third team necessary) using guys like Sears Blackburn Noda and Ruiz but there's a reason no teams trade away guys resembling anything like Mason Miller(talent level/years before FA). If they did their fans would be calling for the front offices to be fired effective immediately. The A's should be trying to sign Mason to an extension while there's still a chance he'll sign but they'll probably wait too long to even make an offer. Really what kind of idiots pay Aledmys Diaz $8M but refuse to pay one of the best pitcher's in baseball anything more than league minimum? I understand the risk in signing Mason now but the longer the A's wait the more it costs them to the point where they no longer have any chance of doing so.
