San Diego won't make this trade, Chisholm and Puk aren't needed especially not for AJ's prized possession. Pads would want Arraez instead for cheaper.
I think the Padres need an Outfielder not a 2B/1B/DH, and every team could use a pitcher. A.J. just might be inclined to move his prized prospect for a title run…….never know. But yea, seems unlikely.
But if this is a deadline deal, Manny would be back at 3rd, leaving a gap in the DH role for Arraez to step in. They could rotate between positions as well because Xander has made a few errors in his new position and Crony sometimes needs a day off of defense, for instance, Xander at DH Arraez at 2nd, and Crony at 1st, or Arraez at DH, Xander at 2nd, and Crony at first, or Xander at 2nd, Crony at DH, and Arraez at 1st, or even teaching Xander how to play 1st as Crony's best position is 2nd and Arraez would go to DH.
Yup, sounds good, but I still think the Padres need an Outfielder more, especially someone like Chisholm who can also play the middle infield.
Yeah but if Profar, Azocar, and Merrill keep performing well, I see no need for another outfielder. And Arraez has some experience in the outfield
