Deadline Deal; Phillies are in thick of a playoff race and plan to be for the next few years but need a long term solution at the back end of their bullpen and make a deal for Mason Miller and make him their Closer. The A’s get 2 very nice prospects. Mason Miller is very good, it will take an overpay to pry him away from the A’s I think and I’m not convinced that come the middle of July that this offer will still be an overpay. Thoughts? Does Orion Kerkering earn the Closer role in Philly?
Down vote for Oakland. Abel is very intersting... Miller is meh. Maybe Miller can change my mind by July.
