6A now/later deal for both teams.
Oops, meant to get Reese McGwire, as part of return. Lefty hitting catcher. Also will swap Wisdom from Malbec, while I'm at it. Cubs take on Devers contract (Can you say Prince Fielder?) stay under luxury tax for 2024. Play Devers till Shaw is ready to take over, then trade him to Yankees or Dodgers.

Typical lack of imagination from TA. Red Sox get a feared young hitter with 5 years of team control (Morel), a former #4 overall pick (Madrigal), who instantly takes over at 2B, plus Hendricks and Smyly, whom they can flip at the summer trade deadline after they re-establish themselves, plus Neris and Gomes (And Wisdom, in my expanded deal). Oh, I almost forgot, and they are $270,000 richer at the end of the season. No ones going to pay that kind of money anymore for FA's after what happened to the Boras 4. Maybe Soto, but that's it. Breslow, a former Cubs exec, would jump all over this deal.
Benjo, are you a used car salesman? It is funny how these players all have value for the Red Sox, but none when it comes to the Cubbies. We already have seen plenty of your thoughts on Neris.
