2Cubs have a bunch of middle infielders, so Yorke isn’t much of a prize. I doubt the Cubs would give up on Alzolay now when they really need to be adding bullpen arms. Mervis has mashed AAA but has consistently looked overmatched in the bigs. I bet the Cubs would be open to trading him.
I could see Breslow targeting pitchers he liked in the Cubs org.
