2The A's taking on salary seems laughable, but they should. They get 6 years of a 22 year old Major Leaguer that was a top 50 prospect last year, and all they give up is a 29 year old reliever. The Rays get an excellent reliever and rid themselves of a black hole in Maton. Mead looks like the odd man out on a team full of poor defensive infielders.
Down vote for Oakland. I still believe in Mead's bat but without a defensive home, he doesn't have a spot in the A's line-up.
