11Randy started slow, but has been hitting 121 wRC+ since the start of May and has hit between 124 and 127 wRC+ each of the past 3 years. I think he's back, and with the Rays season going nowhere, it's a growing possibility that they ship him off somewhere at the Deadline. There is no better landing spot for Randy than LA, where he would absolutely thrive under the bright lights. Plus, the marketing potential is out of this world for a guy from Mexico. This trade makes too much sense not to happen in my opinion, particularly with how putrid the Dodgers' outfield is this year (hitting 79 wRC+ and providing 1.0 fWAR as a group).
I think the Dodgers value Knack much higher then the value shown here because he can start and he has option(s)
Maybe. Of course he’s back in the minors right now, so he might be more expendable than you think at current values. Plus, Aroz took an 80% cut to his value because of his early season struggles. Dodgers still come out FAR ahead.
Isn't Knack heading for TJS? I'd be really happy with this return, LAD has so many pitchers there's countless possibilities then add in guys like Quintero and Hope, I would literally give them a spreadsheet of all our players and with all the possible packages it'd take to get them lol
Fangraphs says he was optioned to AAA on Monday, so I think he’s still pitching.
You might be thinking about Sheehan who last week had right elbow surgery (an internal brace procedure). Or Fasso who is out for the year (I think) but I believe it was a shoulder.
Opps you're right I had him confused with Sheehan.
If Randy Arozarena is available I think some Outfield needing team should trade for him, buy out his last two remaining arbitration years and tack on two more.
Sounds like a plan to me, and there is probably no greater outfield needing team than the Dodgers.
Giants, Mariners, Rangers, KC all need OF help so there will be lots of shoppers perusing the Rays OF. Cincy too although they aren't likely to be buyers at this point. Oh and of course the Padres will be right there snooping as well.
Yeah, I could see Texas, KC and Padres interested as well. San Fran seems done to me and the Mariners have a bigger need at 1B/DH than the outfield (Yandy Diaz anyone?).
