The Rays give up a ton to get Crochet. 2 top 100 prospects, Arozarena, and Eflin is a crazy large amount, and I doubt they'd do it. But if they view Crochet as a true ace with 3 years of extremely cheap arbitration, it is worth it. They move $30M+ in salary by moving Aroz and Eflin, while actually getting better without giving up too much future talent. They also add Owen Murphy, a very good SP prospect, which is badly needed in the Rays organization. Mead doesn't have a job this year, and likely next year. Atlanta adds a lot of talent at positions of need, as their pitching is old and they need an OF to make up for Acuna's loss. The White Sox add a ton of future talent, including 3 top 100 prospects. Everyone gets better.

Murphy undergoing TJS this week. Don’t think he works for this trade.

Darn. Didn't see that. I think I could still make it work, but I'm no longer willing to give up Ledbetter without a good pitching prospect coming back.
