1Orioles decide to wait before pushing all in and use Burnes to add even more pitching to their very talented minor leagues and set themselves up for the future. Then in the offseason they trade for SP Dylan Cease (with 1 year of control left) when the Padres put him on the block (like they did with Soto last offseason) and do it all over again in ‘25 (trade Cease at the deadline for even more).
