4Huge overpay for Cubs. Triantos may be the most undervalued prospect on this website.
I take that back about Triantos being the most undervalued prospect on BTV. Could be a toss up among Alexander Canario, Brennen Davis, and Matt Mervis, all of whom have double digit HRs at AAA. How Chicago, with its 29th ranked offense, can continue to play Wisdom and others and not call these guys up is criminal. Same thing with Velazquez last year. Only difference between Ross and Hoyer of 2023 and Counsell and Hoyer of 2024 is 40 million they paid CC.
Look at MLB Pipeline top ten 2nd base prospects and then you’ll find Triantos’ true ranking. Higher than Termarr Johnson, who is a 20+ per BTV. Go figure.
I just looked at stats and prospect grading, then moved to here. Triantos fits a jays need to fill 2nd, I guess he would be called up by September for them. While Arias can get back to starting with the Jays. Also Cubs have hoerner is a good/great cubs 2nd baseman imo.
